| dogs get vacations too! |
| while i was on vacation, my dogs were also on a vacation. when i got back into the office yesterday i found an e-mail from melody that contained a journal "written by my boys". apparently they both tried to push the envelope just like i did! if i can ever figure out how to attach it to my blog i will. |

| jamaica was awesome |
| here is the proof. the week was full of first time items for me including flying over water, a swim up bar, water slide, waterfall, being on a plantation, and lying in a hammock. this was THE most amazing vacation EVER! |

| back from paradise |
yep, sad but true, i am home from jamaica. had a fabulous time and did a lot of things that i never thought i would ever do, this vacation was a dream come true for me. will tell about the trip and post pics when i have a bit more time. in the mean time, this should hold everyone over.

| ready for takeoff |
| today is FINALLY the day, after waiting for months we finally take off late tonight for jamaica. i am so excited to see their beautiful beaches and plantations, to taste their cuisine, to drink their rum, and to relax a bit. watch out mo bay here we come :) |

| only four more days |
| only 4 more days until we leave on vacation, i can almost feel the sand between my toes! everyone has been asking if i was packed yet and no one believed me when i said no, so yesterday i started gathering things and even got out my suitcases. i can't wait, this is SO overdue. |

| crappy start, fabulous ending |
| yesterday started off so bad that i thought i was going to hate 50 even after my long celebration had started off so well. my day got going at 2:30am when i woke up but couldn't get back to sleep, my 8:00am appointment sent me an e-mail to cancel so i had busted my butt to get in early for nothing. the good stuff finally started just after noon when michelle from the mortgage company next door showed up with flowers and a card signed by everyone in her office, the phone calls started coming in, mel and her fam showed up with a beautiful watch for me along with a gift from another friend. i got e-cards and e-mails from my "other daughters in california", an e-mail from my first husband (that was weird) and then i was taken to happy hour and stuffed to the gills. once i got home, the phone rang off of the hook and the calls are still coming in today! 50 IS fabulous! |

| and so it has begun |
tomorrow is the day that i turn 50. in the last few years i have managed to make my birthday celebration last for 4 or 5 days, this year it appears that it will be lasting most of the month! i received my first card in the mail last friday (7/6/07) and my vacation (which i am only taking because of my 50th) won't be over until i retun home on the 28th.
my sweetie took me out for dinner on friday and saturday, plus he gave me a bottle of pleasures by estee lauder. yesterday kath showed up with a beach bag full of goodies to get me "in the mood" for vacation and she is meeting me tomorrow for happy hour. so far, turning 50 is a BLAST!
so am i lucky or what??!!??!! |

| so tomorrow is the 4th of july, nothing like a day off in the middle of the week (work 2, off 1, work 2, off 2). eat, drink, be merry but be responsible.....enjoy! |
