| 11 1/2 years later |
i have been in my house for 11 1/2 years and the guest room is finally complete! thanks kath for painting the beautiful accent wall which then forced me to go out and shop for a window treatment. i think i will reserve this room the next time i want to go to the beach! |

i hope that everyone is enjoying the three day weekend. i have been busy since 8:30 saturday morning cleaning my house from top to bottom. i have only the floors left to do. my biggest project? putting this together!

| ordered myself a present |
| last month i became a member of an on-line discussion group for kraft. as a thank you they send out amazon gift certificates. as of today, i had $25 worth and they were truly burning a hole in my pocket (or e-mail if you will). so i went onto amazon.com and ordered this for myself as a reward. i have been wanting one of these for a while and when you can get something at a 50% discount with free shipping, why not? i can hardly wait to start making my own sugar free sorbet!!!!!! |

| i just killed my shredder! i have been shredding client files on and off for about a week. so, i called the company that manufactures it (fellowes) and told them that it will only work in reverse and they are sending me a new one via ups! |

| scare the sh_ _ out of me! |
| i just got my mail and was scared to death when i saw an envelope from the irs! i am always afraid that i am going to be audited, even though i don't cheat (too much anyway!). the letter (which wastes postage and trees) was to tell me that my stimulus check should arrive by the 16th. while i appreciate that i will be getting a refund, this is the second letter i have received from the irs about the matter and if i get this letter that tells me that millions more are getting them too. STOP SENDING THE LETTERS AND SEND MORE CASH. |

| i am so blessed! |
| just like every year, mother's day was absolutely wonderful. I got e-mails, calls and cards. of course i was able to spend a good portion of the day with the person that makes being a mom the best job in the world! a wonderful lunch, 2 cards, a memory book complete with photos and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. who could possibly ask for more? |

| going green |
| every since earth day, people have been yapping about "going green". i have always felt like i was doing my share because i recycle, do my best to not waste water, only get in the car and drive if i truly have someplace to go, whatever. well now i found a new green thanks to my friend susan. we were talking the other day about how our hair gets in the shower drains and slows down the draining process. i was out of daino so i was just going to try and plunge it. susan told me about using baking soda and white vinegar.....IT WORKS!!!! all you do is prour some baking soda in the drain followed by the white vinegar, once the sizzling/erupting is over you simply run really hot water down the drain, and nothing to hurt the enviroment! |

| beautiful music |
last night i met mel, doug and the kids at bonanza high school for a special concert featuring 50 of the most talented kids from the garside middle school orchestra, another middle school and the orchestra from bonanza hs. justin started playing the violin (4th chair) last august and now he is playing 1st chair. he was one of the 50 best picked by the teacher out of 300 kids! the music was awesome and so was his smile!
