wednesday (march 19th) will be banjo's 10th birthday. since i haven't figured out how to make a cake or cupcakes that a four legged boy can eat, i baked biscotti and animal cookies for him.
read all about it here. the comment that obama is leading because he is black is one of the dumbest things i have ever heard. how do people even come up with such stupid shit? although anyone who was a hillary supporter may have changed sides because this comment was so dumb.
yesterday morning i got an e-mail from my general managers office that his sister passed away, i was saddened for their family although i had never met her.
yesterday afternoon kath called me with her good news (cancer free, thank God).
just a few hours later melody called me to tell me that her father-in-law had passed away.
what an emotional day, i am so glad that it is over.
this has been one of the most wonderful weekends that i have had in a very long time. don't get me wrong, weekends are always good but this one was GREAT.
it all started friday night when jerome and i headed down to the orleans for a quick dinner at big al's and then upstairs to see the fights. the main even was a ladies title bout and apparently i get quite vocal, to the point that jerome had to admit that he has created a monster! we ran into a couple of his golfing buddies and their wives and were able to have a nice visit during intermission and again after the fights.
saturday was girls day; kath and i went to lunch and then out for a bit of shopping. i wish shopping with her when she was a teenager was as much fun as it is now. thanks honey for a great lunch (california pizza kitchen). saturday evening jerome cooked dinner while i sat relaxing because i had "such a busy day shopping"!
today has been my day, grocery shopping (going to fresh and easy for the first time), albertson's for sales items, doing two weeks worth of laundry and making a great couscous salad.
