What's wrong with our mirrors? |
Why is it that when we look in a mirror we do not see ourselves the same way as others do? I started wondering this after a call from Kathryn this morning. Everyone who meets her says she is beautiful, I know she is beautiful inside and out (but then again I am her mom and my opinion, in her eyes, doesn't count). Why is she so surprised when a man is interested in her and wants to take her out on a date? Why do we never see beauty in ourselves? I don't think it is egotistical in any way to think you are pretty or look exceptionally good (or "HOT" as Kath would say) on any given day. Come on, feel good about yourself and know that you are pretty and that guys do notice! |
