| i got home yesterday evening and had a call from washington mutual asking me whether or not i had made a purchase in a computer store in new york city for $207 on wednesday. when i told the man that i had never been in new york he asked me if i had been in kansas...hello, i never leave nevada! somehow, someone got the number on my debit card and made a duplicate card(s) and decided to have some fun. thankfully washington mutual watches accounts for "odd occurances" and called me. they have the charges on hold, my account has been frozen and my debit card is no longer any good. the good news: my credit will not be ruined by fraudulent charges and the bank is going to investigate the last couple of places that i used the card. |
