all i can say is FABULOUS!

i have had a lot of weekends in my life and i have celebrated many mother's days, but this was definately the greatest.

my wonderful weekend started friday night when my sweetie and i headed out to dinner. we flipped a coin to see if we should go for italian or sea food. after sea food won out, we ended up here instead. all i can say is WOW, it was a wonderful evening.

saturday was my day to grocery shop, do laundry, walk the dogs, sleep, and relax. amazingly enough i got it all done!

sunday, being mother's day, was awesome. kath came over in the early afternoon to play hairdresser and brought me the biggest and prettiest boquest of flowers, then we headed out for our "activity". she had not said a word about what we were going to do, i had been in the dark for quite a while and then got the best surprise of my life; kath had bought tickets for this show. i have never in my life been so amazed and entertained. as if all of this was not enough, we then walked over to the venetian for dinner. we even lucked out and got a table right next to the canal.

i have now celebrated 28 mother's days (yes kath, i celebrated the first one when i was pregnant with you). each and every celebration has been a wonderful experience, not because of the cards or gifts but because i am a mom with a wonderful and thoughtful daughter. being a mom is the best job in the world.

i can honestly say that sunday was one of the very best days that i have ever had. of course, nothing will ever top august 29, 1978!
